One Fact

One of my top 3 pet peeves is this: When someone has an issue with me (personally, professionally, etc), and they don't come talk to me directly. I'm a big believer in practicing Matthew 18:15 wherever I can.

Here's why this bugs me: When someone skips this step of talking to me alone, and goes right to bringing someone else into the issue, I see that as disrespect. I don't take criticism personally in the sense that I'll be offended if Paul has a problem with me in some way; chances are excellent I haven't communicated clearly enough, and need to retry.
